Last Day of 2010 at Hamilton High School

This entry was posted by Darwyn Crockett.

Hey, my name is Darwyn Crockett, I came from SouthWind High School. I now attend Hamilton High School. Today is the last day of school. I created a video asking teachers how the school year treated them as a whole. I also asked the teachers how they felt about the last day of school. Some said it's sad and some said that it was good. But most of all it was a blessing to me because I met new people and I truely can say they have been a blessing to me. I filmed, edited and produced the movie and to me it's very good and I like it. Let me know what you think. Leave a comment...just remember this is my first movie.

Uproar_ The Wildcat News 05/10/10

This entry was created by Kiuna Warren.
Today, I had an exciting learning experience! For the first time, I uploaded to the blog. The blog has been a very beneficial asset to Hamilton High School. It enables any individual to become informed of any announcements they may have missed. It also highlights important activities that take place throughout the school year. I hope you enjoy the blogging experience as much as I have!

This entry was created by Albert Johnson and Micheal Lee. In the process of making this video many steps was taken. We started off by reading over the information we had received and began typing it on the computer. Then we edited it by adding audio and pictures. Next, we uploaded it up to itunes and burn it to a dvd using a apple app, called idvd. During this process we had fun; We learned how to use imovie, idvd, and how to use itunes to make dvds. As seniors it gave us an insight to an possible career. We are thankful to have Mr. Anderson to have showed us this process.

This wasn't very hard I'm use to making commercials now they're still very fun and uses a lot of creative thinking so that your commercial will be unique. Even still, when trying to be unique you must use your math still in making these commercials because you have to get the timing down. In this commercials we only have a 60 second period so we have to adjust the slides and when we make the pictures move. So it's still very complicated. LOVE HAMILTON ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!!!!

UpRoar: The Wildcat News 4/28/10

This video was created by me, Alvertis London. In order to do any of this, I started off by stopping by the office to get the annoucements. After that, I used "iMovie" to update all the current annoucements. Once I did that, I uploaded it to "iDVD" and burned it to a blank dvd. After all this was finished I took it to the library so it will be broadcasted.

Studio Time: Makin' Happy

This entry was posted by Mr. Anderson.

Way to go Alvertis, Robert and Thurston!

The work these young men did, helped us put this project to rest. I think their rap is bangin' and this is an awesome opportunity for the young people to synthesize their individual likes with class instruction and production.

We need jurors for the THINK Show!!! April 29, 2010. Please contact us for more information.

Wow!!!! In this commercial I did take part in this commercial and when I say I took I part a big part Mr. Anderson was on me like white on rice about it. He was always telling me that he couldn't understand the words and he didn't like that transition and it was very tiring but, it was worth it in the long run. Alvertis and Robert did excellent in the song that's on the commercial I  had someone to go in and take pictures of them and pretty good one's at that! We're getting closer to the GRAND OPENING OF MAKIN' HAPPY inside HAMILTON PLACE MALL now you're getting closer to seeing the MAGIC OF HAMILTON HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Makin' Happy Media & Technology-Audio Recording and Mixing (Studio Time)

This entry was posted by Mr. Anderson.

I was a little concerned that the students would come together and follow through on their ideas...so, I decided to write my own rhyme...and use it as some motivation. Well, without even hearing what I came up with, when we got to class. They were eager to make it happen. This mande me extremely proud. So, I'm going to post my rhyme for studio time and then I'll post theirs. So, when I make the entry I will shout out some of the students who woked strong to make it happen.

Makin' Happy Order/Service Form

This entry was created by Anthony Hayes, II.

Edited (Anderson has attached the revised order form.)

I had a new experience putting this clipart together on our THINKSHOW order form. I learned how to utilize clip art on my paper and advertise at the same time. I know what to do the next time when I am told to something like this, again. This is a pretty good advertisment even though its on an order form. I used Microsoft Word to enhance the form Mr. Anderson and the MW2 class developed. This is what I learned and made in Media Concepts class, today. I also learned how to blog on blogspot.

This entry was posted by Mr. Anderson.

I want to send a special thanks out to Malynda Hull and Sharra Dent. Sharra collected the announcements this morning and Malynda worked strong the entire class period with minimal breaks to get the text ready for us to import into iMovie. My goal is to encourage the students and communicate the wonderful service this provides to the school and get this done everyday as we strive towards a 5 to 10 minute student produced newscast. Please comment and encourage the students as they are apart of the possibilities as we aim to Connect the Pieces Through Redesign.

Hamilton High School Track Promo

This entry was posted by Alvertis London, II.

I am new to this class but I was able to make this commercial. It took us three class periods to complete this project. Thurston started it off with the pictures and the music. When I came, I put the words and made a few adjustments. These adjustments are the Ken Burns Effect, cropping and adjusting the timing and text on the commercial. This is a project that I was very interested in. I plan on learning how to make highlight tapes in the future.

Hamilton High School's Teachers of the Month: March 2010

This entry was posted by Akhia Hunt.

It took me two days to create this commercial. First, I had to write it out. Then, I had to go take pictures of all the teachers. Next, I had to upload my pictures to the Apple Computer, and type my commercial out. Finally, I uploaded my commercial to our blogger. My commercial would not have been this awesome if it was not for the help of Thurston Rubin Jr., Sybil White, and Alvertis London Jr, my classmates in Mr. Anderson's MW2 Media Concepts class, thank you so much for all your help!

Jeff Graham HiLites

This entry was created by, Mr. Anderson:

I am extremely proud of my students. One student in particular, Joshua Weathersby, showed a high aptitude for success by following directions, using his creativity and delivering quality customer service to clients.

I was fortunate enough to garner some outside business that the students would be able to benefit from by honing their video/audio eye & ear while editing. Though he did not put the entire piece together, the leg work that he did was very promising.

Having said that, please enjoy the HiLites of Junior, Guard/Forward, Jeff Graham, #23 of the Hamilton High Wildcats.

Hamilton High School Students and the March of Dimes Community Voice Program (7 minutes)

This entry was created by: Kierra Joy

The March of Dimes Program was about the importance of preventing infant mortality. During this program we talked about things like prenatal care and not smoking and drinking while you're pregnant. It's mandatory that you always go to every check-up. Throughout the whole 9 months you should make sure your baby is kicking and moving. If your baby isn't active then something is wrong. Immediately go to the doctor, and get it checked out. Also, make sure you eat foods containing folic acid. It's extremely good for the baby. Plus you should never pick up anything heavy while you're pregnant.

We hope you enjoy this seven minute video production from our Media Concepts Department. Simply click one of the links below.

Hamilton High School HOSA Water for Haiti

This entry was composed by, Kendrick Lovett

In this devastating earthquake, many lives were taken and many people were severely injured. Hamilton High School Students are encouraged to help the people of Haiti by donating water through our school's HOSA Chapter.

I feel that we should do our best by donating water. It will help the victims of this tragic situation. I utilized the internet, imovie, and adobe auditions to create this PSA.

Hamilton High School Annual HOSA Blood Drive

This blog was created by, Melvin Parker

This is a news package of the annual Hamilton High School H.O.S.A. Blood Drive. There are interviews of students, the student president of HOSA and Life Blood Mobile Drive Supervisor on site, Vanessa Mosby.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1vQIxxHGu4

What I learned during this projects was knowledge about the Midsouth Regional Blood Bank, Life Blood. I also learned how important it is to donate blood, especially here in Memphis, TN. My real world connection was seeing how much I've done just by donating a small amount of my blood. By giving that small amount, I have helped save someone's life.

Being the producer of this project, I have experienced what it truly means to be overall responsible for an amazing project. What we studied in class prepared me for what's to come. I learned how to create/produce a commercial, create a blog, and how to upload a post and link. I had such a good time making this, there will be plenty more.
